Harris also became a prominent figure on television, hosting several popular shows of his own.

Accolades and Recognition

Harris received numerous accolades and honors throughout his career, including the Order of Australia in 1986. However, these distinctions were revoked in 2015 following his conviction for child sexual abuse.

Legal Troubles

In August 2013, Harris was charged with six counts of indecent assault against underage girls between 1969 and 1986. On June 30, 2014, he was found guilty and sentenced to five years and nine months in prison.

Harris served his sentence at Wandsworth Prison in southwest London. He passed away on May 10, 2023, at the age of 93.
