Romain Beynié is a French professional footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder for Belgian club Cercle Brugge.
Early Career and Lyon Debut
Born in Lyon, France, Beynié began his football journey with Olympique Arbresle. In 2001, he joined Olympique Lyon's youth academy, where he honed his skills. He made his professional debut in 2005, coming on as a substitute in a UEFA Champions League match against Rosenborg.
Loan to Tubize and Search for Opportunity
In 2008, Beynié was loaned out to Belgian second-tier club Tubize to gain playing experience. Despite making 24 appearances, he was unable to prevent the team from being relegated to the third division.
Trial at Tours and Move to Guingamp
After an unsuccessful trial with Tours in July 2009, Beynié found a new home at Guingamp in February 2010. He made a significant impact for the club, helping them earn promotion to Ligue 1 in 2013.
