Biography of Roman Yeremin

Junior Career

Roman Yeremin is a Kazakhstani biathlete who has been involved in the sport since 2009. He has achieved notable success in his junior career, including winning a bronze medal at the Winter Universiade in 2017 and a bronze medal at the Junior European Championships in 2016. Yeremin has been coached by A.N. Mukhin and S.T. Mukhina.

At the 2014 Junior World Championships in Presque Isle, Yeremin finished fourth in the relay event and seventh in the sprint. In the same year, he competed in the Junior World Championships in Minsk and achieved his best result of 12th place in the individual race. In 2016, Yeremin participated in the Junior World Championships in Cheile Gradistei, where he finished 9th, 11th, and 12th in individual events among 19-year-old athletes.

Participation in International Competitions

Yeremin also took part in the Junior Cup IBU races, with his best result being a third-place finish in the sprint event in Lenzerheide in the 2015/16 season. In the 2016/17 season, he achieved two more third-place finishes. Additionally, Yeremin competed in the Summer Biathlon World Championships in Otepaa in 2016, where he finished sixth in the mixed relay, 21st in the sprint, and 20th in the pursuit.

On the national level, Yeremin won the Junior Cup of Kazakhstan and became the overall champion of the country in the summer biathlon. He also achieved victories in international junior competitions in Russia.

Adult Career

In his adult career, Yeremin made his debut at the European Championships in Otepaa in 2015, where he finished eighth in the men's relay. He then competed in the IBU Cup in the 2015/16 season, finishing 53rd in the sprint event in Idre. In the 2016/17 season, he scored his first points with a 39th-place finish in Beitostolen and achieved his best result of 38th place in the pursuit event in Val Ridanna.

Yeremin made his debut at the World Cup in Oberhof in the 2016/17 season, finishing 88th in the sprint event. As of February 2017, this is his only race in the World Cup.

In February 2017, Yeremin won a bronze medal in the sprint event at the Winter Universiade in Almaty, Kazakhstan, and finished 10th in the individual race.

Personal Life

Outside of biathlon, Yeremin is currently studying at Kokshetau Abai Myrzakhmetov University in Kazakhstan.
