Biography of Ron Bass

Ron Bass, an American wrestler who performed under the intimidating pseudonym "Outlaw," was born in Harrisburg, Arkansas, USA. He made his debut in the wrestling ring in 1972 and fought for the National Wrestling Alliance in the 1970s, using various aliases such as Ron Bass, Sam Oliver Bass, or Ron Bass "Outlaw."

In the early 1980s, Ron Bass competed in two promotions simultaneously, namely Florida Championship Wrestling and Jim Crockett Promotions, often teaming up with Black Bart. Notably, he occasionally partnered with the renowned wrestler Barry Windham.

In 1987, Ron Bass joined the World Wrestling Federation (WWF), regularly challenging famous wrestlers such as Hulk Hogan and Brutus Beefcake, but always ending up on the losing side. He also participated in a five-on-five match as part of Hulk Hogan's team during the Thanksgiving Day Battle in 1987. Additionally, Ron Bass took part in the prestigious Royal Rumble event at WrestleMania IV, where twenty wrestlers fought simultaneously in the ring. Interestingly, it was during this match that Ron Bass was defeated by Jim Duggan, leading to a longstanding rivalry between them. They eventually faced off on Wrestling Challenge, where Ron Bass emerged victorious due to his intimidating signature bullwhip and lasso named "Miss Betsy."

In 1988, Ron Bass joined forces with Brutus Beefcake and wrestled against the team of Honky Tonk Man. He even represented Honky Tonk Man's team during Saturday Night's Main Event in January 1989.

Later that year, Ron Bass once again participated in the Royal Rumble before leaving the World Wrestling Federation. For a period, he competed as a singles wrestler and then formed a tag team, known as The Bass Brothers, with his brother Don. Their father, Mo, served as their manager.

In 1991, Ron Bass returned to the World Wrestling Federation and won several competitions. However, he soon retired from professional wrestling. He moved to Tampa, Florida, earned a Bachelor's degree from the University of Arkansas, and now enjoys leisure time playing golf. Ron is married and has a son named Joseph.
