Biography of Ron Perlman

Ron Perlman was born on April 13, 1950, in Manhattan, New York. He grew up in New York City and attended George Washington High School, where he made his debut on stage in the lead role of the school play "Thieves' Ball". After graduating from Lehman College in 1971 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, Perlman continued his education at the University of Minnesota. He chose this institution because he wanted to be closer to the renowned Guthrie Theater. In 1973, he completed his studies with a Master's degree and had already played numerous theater roles, including Valentine in Shakespeare's "Two Gentlemen of Verona". He later reprised his role as Valentine in a professional production directed by David Feldshuh.
