Early Life and Education
Ronit Tirosh was born in Tel Aviv, Israel. She served in the Israel Defense Forces as a reconnaissance sergeant. In 1977, she graduated from Tel Aviv University with a Bachelor's degree in philosophy and Arabic. The following year, she received a diploma as an Arabic language teacher.
Political Career
In 2006, Tirosh was elected to the 17th Knesset as a member of the Kadima party. She served on numerous committees during her tenure, including the Labor, Welfare, and Health Committee and the Education, Culture, and Sports Committee.
In the 2009 elections, Tirosh was re-elected to the Knesset. She became the chairwoman of the Science and Technology Committee and continued to serve on the Education, Culture, and Sports Committee and the Finance Committee.
Personal Life
Tirosh is married and has three children. She resides in Ramat Gan. She is fluent in Hebrew, French, Arabic, and English.
