Early LifeRoy Jones Jr. was born on January 16, 1969, in Pensacola, Florida. At the young age of 10, he began his boxing career. Despite weighing only 69 pounds, Jones Jr. defeated 14-year-old boxers weighing 85 pounds. This was just the beginning of his journey.
Amateur Career
