Rosa Kurz studied piano under the guidance of Jacob Holtfeld and later with her future husband, Vilem Kurz. In 1898, along with her husband, she joined the staff of the Lviv Conservatory, where she became a professor in 1917. From 1919 to 1928, Kurz taught at the Brno Conservatory. During the latter decade of her life, she returned to Prague where she continued to teach.

Pedagogical Contributions

Rosa Kurz was a close collaborator and assistant to her husband, Vilem Kurz. In 1930, she expanded and updated his book "Sequence in Teaching Piano Playing" (Postup p?i vyu?ov?n? h?e klav?ru).
