Ryan Kelley is an American actor, best known for his roles in the films "Mean Creek," "Prayers for Bobby," and "Ben 10: Alien Swarm," as well as the teen television series "Teen Wolf." He was born on August 31, 1986, in Glen Ellyn, a western suburb of Chicago, Illinois. He is the fifth oldest child in a family of 14 siblings. When Ryan was two years old, his mother took him and his five siblings to meet a talent agent in Chicago. This is where Ryan began his acting career, appearing in over 50 commercials as a child and landing his first film role while in elementary school.
Acting Career
In 2002, Kelley portrayed Ryan James in two episodes of "Smallville." In 2004, he starred in the film "Mean Creek" and received the Special Distinction Award at the Independent Spirit Awards along with the film's main cast. He also won an award at the Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival with the ensemble cast of "Still Green." In 2008, Ryan played the role of Derek Reese, the older brother of Kyle Reese, in the television series "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles." In 2009, he portrayed Bobby Griffith in the Emmy and Golden Globe-nominated television film "Prayers for Bobby." During this time, he also appeared in the sequel film "Ben 10: Race Against Time" - "Ben 10: Alien Swarm." At the age of 18, Ryan moved to Los Angeles to further pursue his acting career.
