Ryan Reser: A Determined Judo Champion and Bright Student
Early Life and Introduction to JudoBorn on April 16, 1980, in Denver, Colorado, Ryan Reser is an accomplished judoka who has represented the United States at the international level. From a young age, Ryan's parents encouraged him to take up judo as a means of self-defense. Little did they know that their son would develop an unyielding passion for the sport.
Rise to Prominence
At the age of five, Ryan began his judo journey. His natural talent and unwavering dedication quickly became apparent. By the age of seven, he was competing at the national level. While excelling in judo, Ryan also played football and hockey during his school years. However, in order to fully pursue his professional judo aspirations, he made the difficult decision to focus solely on his martial arts training.
Olympic Dreams and Sacrifices
Ryan's brother, Reno, served as a constant source of support and guidance throughout his career. Reno relocated to Colorado Springs to be by Ryan's side as he pursued his Olympic dreams. In 1998, Ryan enrolled at the University of Colorado, where he is currently nearing completion of a degree in insurance and finance. Balancing both athletics and academics has been a significant challenge for Ryan, demanding immense time and effort.

Furthermore, he was a member of the American World Championship teams in 2005 and 2007.
