Araga's impressive track record includes a gold medal in the men's kata event at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan. He has also claimed three gold medals in the men's kata competition at the Karate World Championships and two gold medals in the men's team kata event, alongside Arata Kinjo and Takuya Uemura. Furthermore, he has secured four gold medals in both the individual and team kata categories at the Karate Asian Championships.

Araga's journey to international acclaim began with a bronze medal in the men's individual kata event at the 2012 Karate World Championships in Paris, France.
