Daniel Abraham: A Prominent American Entrepreneur and Philanthropist

Early Life and Education

Daniel Abraham was born and raised in Long Beach, New York. He holds multiple degrees from various universities, including Bar Ilan, Ben Gurion, and Tel Aviv. Additionally, he received an honorary doctorate and studied at Yeshiva University in New York.

Business Success

In 1947, Abraham returned from serving in the United States Army in Europe as an infantryman. During this time, he acquired Thompson Medical Company, which initially produced a single pharmaceutical product with meager sales of $5,000 annually.

Under Abraham's leadership, the company transformed into a leading private organization. Today, it produces a diverse range of products, including the popular Slim-Fast Foods, a successful weight loss solution.

Philanthropic Endeavors

Beyond his business acumen, Abraham is also a generous philanthropist whose charitable endeavors primarily focus on Israel and the Middle East. However, his concerns extend to the homeless, AIDS victims, sick children, abused women, and other pressing social issues.

Commitment to Israel

Abraham feels a personal connection to Israel. In March 1988, he visited Israel, Jordan, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia, and has returned regularly ever since, monitoring developments in the region.

Together with former Utah Congressman Wayne Owens, Abraham founded the Center for Middle East Peace & Economic Cooperation. Abraham has served as its chairman since its inception.
