Early Life and Education

Sahib Mammadov was born on December 15, 1962, in Mususlu village, Ujar district, Azerbaijan. He graduated from Mususlu secondary school in 1980 and earned a degree in geography with a specialization in teaching from Baku State University in 1985. He also holds a second law degree from Odlar Yurdu University.

Military Service

From 1981 to 1984, Mammadov served in the Pacific Fleet of the Soviet Navy. He was stationed in Vietnam, Yemen, Ethiopia, and Poland, and received the "Medal for Long Service" for his military contributions.

Political and Social Activism

Mammadov played a pivotal role in the National Liberation Movement of Azerbaijan in the late 1980s. He co-founded and led the "Free Professional Association" and was actively involved in the establishment of the Popular Front of Azerbaijan (PFA). He served as the head of the PFA's Yasamal branch and was the chairman of the Yasamal district Electoral Commission in the 1992 presidential election.

He held various positions in government, including as Deputy Head of the Yasamal Executive Authority for Humanitarian Affairs and Head of the Yasamal Executive Authority. He also worked as an inspector of labor rights for the Free Trade Union of Azerbaijan's oil and gas industry.

Mammadov has been extensively involved in public and political activities:
