Early Life and Adventures

Sandy Blair's real life has been filled with exciting escapades. She has visited ancient castles and cathedrals, dined with English peers, and sailed through the canals of Venice. On one occasion, Sandy even lost her husband amidst the Egyptian pyramids (she vehemently denies his accusation that she got lost herself) and gracefully fell overboard from a cruise ship. These adventures have undoubtedly added depth and inspiration to her writing.

Literary Career

Sandy Blair's bibliography is relatively small, with only five works to date. However, her list of awards is enviable by most authors in the romance genre. Her books, which combine intriguing historical backgrounds, Scottish romance, elegant mysticism, and passionate love, have made Sandy Blair a true celebrity. The author herself admits that she finds historical past more appealing than the present since in ancient times, people were more direct, disregarding political correctness, and men strived to be true alpha males, suppressing any signs of femininity. Of course, the perception of a certain era is often far from reality.

Successful Novels

Sandy Blair writes in the genre of romantic-historical fantasy, generously adorning her plots with paranormal phenomena, mysticism, and humor. Her debut novel, "A Man in a Kilt," was published in September 2004 by Zebra Publishing. The book tells an original story of the ghost of the owner of Blackstone Castle in Scotland, who can only be freed by the new castle owner. Unfortunately, the rightful heir turns out to be a Bronx cook who must wait for six months to inherit the castle. The ghostly laird exerts all his efforts to transform the ordinary and poorly mannered heroine into a true lady. The book's unique blend of humor, vividly depicted characters, thrilling adventures, and, of course, romantic and passionate love, made it a big hit. It won the "Golden Heart" award from the Romance Writers of America Association, as well as the "National Readers' Choice 2004" award for the best paranormal romance. In 2005, it reached the finals of the prestigious "RITA" award. This novel is currently the only work by Sandy Blair translated into Russian.

Just a few months later, another book by the budding writer was released, combining humor, mysticism, and the exoticism of medieval Scotland. Titled "A Rogue in a Kilt," the story follows a knight who, after a long search for a bride, marries a charming witch. It received a rating of four and a half stars from "Romantic Times" magazine and reached the finals of the "National Readers' Choice" award.

Sandy Blair's third work, "Accidental Duchess," published in the anthology "How to Marry a Duke" (2006), won the "Golden Feather" award. Her novels have been translated into six languages, published in over ten countries, and have seen multiple reprints.
