Early Life and Family
Sanjay Dutt was born on July 29, 1959, to legendary Indian actors Nargis, a Muslim, and Sunil Dutt, a Hindu. As the eldest of three children, he was the apple of his parents' eyes. His younger sisters, Priya and Namrata, have remained relatively private.
Debut and Early Struggles
Sanjay's debut film, "Rocky" (1981), was written specifically for him and held high expectations. However, it failed to impress, alongside his friend Gaurav Kumar's film "Love Story." The devastating loss of his mother to cancer further marred this difficult period for Sanjay.
Resurgence with Mahesh Bhatt
Mahesh Bhatt's "Naam" (1986) marked a turning point in Sanjay's career. The film brought him a glimmer of fame and critical acclaim. He married Richa Sharma and welcomed a daughter, Trishala. Notable films from this period include "Kaante" and "Saajan."
Legal Troubles
In 1993, Sanjay was arrested in Mauritius for illegal weapons possession. After a lengthy legal battle, he was acquitted. However, in 2007, the Supreme Court reversed the verdict and sentenced him to 15 months imprisonment.

Sanjay's release from prison in 2016 was met with overwhelming support from his fans. He dedicated himself to physical fitness and made a remarkable comeback. His exceptional performances in "Vaastav: The Reality" earned him accolades such as:
