IntroductionSebastian Marcelo Blanco is an Argentine footballer who currently plays as a midfielder for the Portland Timbers club. He made his debut for Lanus on November 12, 2006, coming on as a substitute in the 89th minute of a match against Colon. Blanco scored his first professional goal for Lanus against Racing in the fifth round of the Clausura.
Successful Season with Lanus
The Apertura-2007 season was the most successful season for Lanus during Blanco's time with the club. They won the championship with a four-point lead, although Blanco only participated in nine matches and scored two goals.
Move to Metalist
On January 8, 2011, Sebastian Blanco signed a five-year contract with Metalist and chose the number 23. He joined the Ukrainian club and had a successful stint there.
International Career
Sebastian Blanco represented the Argentine national team in two friendly matches. He came on as a substitute after halftime in a match against Panama and scored a goal in a match against Haiti.
