Early Life and CareerSebastien Loeb was born on February 26, 1974, in Haguenau, France. He began his professional rally career in 1998, driving a Citroën Saxo.

Rise to Prominence
In 1999, Loeb made his WRC debut. By 2000, he had established himself as a formidable driver, finishing 9th in the WRC championship. His performance in the Sanremo Rally (10th place) further solidified his reputation.

WRC Breakthrough
In 2001, Loeb joined Citroën as its official driver. He won the French Rally Championship and the Junior World Rally Championship in the 1600cc category that year.
