Sefer Alibaev: From Footballer to Football Agent
Early Life and Football BeginningsSefer Alibaev, a native of Ukraine, began his football journey at a local youth sports school. However, his aspirations were hindered when the school faced financial difficulties at age 15, forcing coaches to relocate to other cities. Alibaev's love for the sport remained unwavering.
Youth Career and Military Service
Recognizing his talent, the Uzbekistani Republic took the most promising young footballers under its wing. Alibaev represented Uzbekistan's youth team in numerous tournaments, including a stint with Namangan's "Navbakhor." He later served in the army for Samarkand's "Dynamo."
Ukrainian Football Career
In 1992, Alibaev joined Ukrainian powerhouse "Tavriya" Simferopol, following many players of Central Asian descent. He made his debut that year, helping the team secure the inaugural Ukrainian league title. Alibaev departed "Tavriya" in 1994, seeking opportunities in Russia with "Uralmash" from Yekaterinburg and in his hometown with "Navbakhor."
Transition to Football Agent
After retiring from professional football, Alibaev embarked on a successful career as a football agent.
