Early Career in Russia
Georgian and Russian ice hockey player Alexander Cheltsov began his career in Russia, competing at the junior, collegiate, and amateur levels. In the Moscow Student League, he represented teams such as MGTU, the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA) "Senators," and MAI "Ice Wolves."
Transition to Georgia
In 2016, Cheltsov made the move to Georgia, where he has played for the Bakuriani "Mimino" team in the Georgian Hockey League ever since.
International Debut and Championship Success
Cheltsov debuted for the Georgian national ice hockey team at the 2018 World Championships. In five games, he scored three goals and provided four assists, including a six-point (3+3) performance in a 11-2 victory over Taiwan. The tournament culminated in Georgia's triumph, earning them promotion to Division 2B.
