Poet and storyteller

Sergey Kozlov is known as the author of the fairy tale "Hedgehog in the Fog," which inspired Yuri Norstein's most famous animated film. Kozlov also wrote all the stories about Lion and Turtle, who sang the song "I'm lying in the sun" composed by Kozlov himself. He was the scriptwriter for animated films such as "Hello! That's Me," "Winter Tale," and "Autumn Ships," and published several books of fairy tales.

Biography of Sergey Kozlov

Sergey Grigorievich Kozlov was born on August 22, 1939, in Moscow. He wrote his first poems while studying in the eighth grade. He graduated from the Maxim Gorky Literary Institute, presenting a manuscript of a poetry collection as his diploma thesis. Before becoming a professional writer, Kozlov worked as a worker in a printing house, a lathe operator, a singing teacher, a fireman on a steam locomotive, went on geological expeditions, and conducted tours at the Pushkin Museum-Reserve in Mikhailovskoye.

Fairy tales and literary works

Kozlov began composing fairy tales in the 1960s. His books "Hedgehog in the Fog" (1989), "How Lion and Turtle Sang a Song" (1992), "Will We Always Be True?" (1997), "Clouds" (2000) teach children about kindness and always have a happy ending. As a scriptwriter, Kozlov participated in the creation of animated films such as "Autumn Fishing," "Scary, Gray, Shaggy," "How Lion and Turtle Sang a Song," "Hedgehog in the Fog" (1975), "How Hedgehog and Bear Celebrated New Year" (1975), "Hello! That's Me!" (1980), "Piglet in a Prickly Coat" (1981), "Winter Tale" (1981), and many others.
