Early Life and Career
Sergey Kozyuberdais a Ukrainian football player who plays as a midfielder. His early development was under the guidance of coaches S.N. Chernykh and V.D. Dobizh at the Lviv State University of Physical Culture.
Professional Football Career
In 1997, Kozyuberda joined FC Zorya Luhansk. He later played for FC Avanhard Rovenky. However, a severe injury in the summer of 2004 threatened his footballing future.
Return to Field and Successes
In 2006, Kozyuberda made a remarkable comeback, helping FC Shakhtar Sverdlovsk win the Ukrainian Amateur Football Championship. Subsequently, he accepted an offer from Vladimir Utkin to join FC Sūduva in Lithuania.
Kozyuberda made his UEFA Cup debut with Sūduva in 2006. In one match, he scored a crucial goal, prompting the headline "Kozyuberda Better Than Jo" in the Russian online newspaper gazeta.ru. In a European qualifying match against TNS in 2008, he netted a decisive goal in the 89th minute.
Later Career
Due to financial difficulties, Sūduva released several players, including Kozyuberda, after the 2007/08 season. He had a trial with Zorya Luhansk in January 2009 before signing for FC Kharkiv in February. However, Kharkiv's relegation to the First League prompted Kozyuberda to return to Sūduva.
