Early Life and Football Career Beginnings
Childhood and Family BackgroundBorn in a mixed family with a Chechen father and a Belarusian mother, Omar Taguyev moved to Chechnya at the age of six. He grew up and spent most of his life in Grozny.
Coaching Journey Begins
In 1992, Taguyev embarked on his coaching career with Druzhba Budennovsk. After three years without any significant success, he resumed his coaching role from 1996 to 1997 with Avtozapchast Baksan, where he worked alongside rising star Yuri Krasnozhan.
Assistant and Second Division Experience
Assistant at Krylya SovetovIn 1998, Taguyev relocated to Samara to serve as an assistant coach under Alexander Tarkhanov at Krylya Sovetov.
Leading Fabus and Avtodor
In 2001, he became the head coach of Fabus Podolsk. He also had a brief stint as a coach with Avtodor Vladikavkaz in 2004.
Senior Coaching Positions
Saturn and Terek AssistantFrom 2005 to 2006, Taguyev worked as a senior coach with Saturn and Terek.
Zvezda Serpuhov and Spartak-MZhK
In the second half of 2006, he headed the second-division club Zvezda Serpuhov. He then moved to Ryazan to coach Spartak-MZhK in the first division but was dismissed after a poor start.
Lukhovitsy and Saljut-Energia
From 2007 to 2008, Taguyev coached the second-division club Lukhovitsy. In November 2007, he led the Center Zone Second Division squad to victory in the Nadezhda Tournament. He then managed Saljut-Energia from May 2008 to 2009.
Krasnodar and Nalchik Spartak
Promising Start with KrasnodarIn 2009, Taguyev joined Krasnodar, signing a two-year contract. Under his guidance, the club finished fifth in the 2010 season. However, he departed in November with aspirations to coach in the Russian Premier League.
Brief Nalchik Spartak Tenure
On June 16, 2011, Taguyev took over as head coach of Nalchik Spartak, who were bottom of the league standings at the time. He resigned in April 2012 due to unsatisfactory results.
Return to Belgorod and Ukrainian Clubs
Saljut BelgorodIn May 2012, Taguyev signed an agreement to return to Saljut Belgorod if the club gained promotion to the FNL. He was appointed as head coach after the end of the 2011/12 season.
Metalurh Donetsk
On August 7, 2013, Taguyev became the head coach of Ukrainian club Metalurh Donetsk.
Anzhi and Kuban
Anzhi MakhachkalaIn May 2014, Anzhi announced Taguyev as their new head coach. He was dismissed in May 2015.
FK Kuban Krasnodar
On September 17, 2015, he was appointed as head coach of Kuban. He left the club in April 2016 after 25 games.
Shakhtyor Soligorsk and Chayka Peschanokopskaya
First Stint with Shakhtyor SoligorskIn April 2018, Taguyev became the head coach of Shakhtyor Soligorsk in the Belarusian Premier League. He led the team to victory in the Belarusian Cup. He left the club in November 2019.
Chayka Peschanokopskaya
On January 9, 2021, he was appointed as head coach of Chayka Peschanokopskaya in the FNL.
Return to Shakhtyor Soligorsk and Akhmat Grozny
Second Stint with Shakhtyor SoligorskIn April 2022, Taguyev再次回到了Shakhtyor Soligorsk执教，但在9月底与“矿工”结束了合作。

Personal Life
Omar Taguyev is married to Svetlana Taguyeva and has two daughters, Polina and Nadezhda.
