Sharon Blake: A Journey of Transformation

Overcoming Obesity: A Promise to Loved Ones

Sharon Blake, a 39-year-old Crewe resident, once weighed 528 pounds due to her addiction to takeout food. However, tragedy struck when her mother passed away in 2011, followed by her father a year later, both victims of cancer. Consumed by grief, Sharon turned to food for comfort, resorting to ordering size 8XL clothing from specialized websites.

Breaking the Cycle: Health and Fitness

Determined to honor her parents' memory, Sharon resolved to change her life. She started by eliminating unhealthy foods and lost 60 pounds. Feeling more confident, she joined Gymophobics in Nantwich, a women-only fitness center where she found encouragement and support.

A Journey of Discovery

With the guidance of Gymophobics instructors, Sharon discovered the joy of exercising. She adopted a low-sugar diet and replaced her cravings for chocolate and chips with healthy alternatives. Through her 2.5-year transformation journey, she lost an astounding 330 pounds.

Empowering Others

Sharon's journey has inspired countless others. She now attends Gymophobics with her 15-year-old daughter, determined to show her that fitness and wellness can be enjoyable. Donna Hubbard, founder of Gymophobics, believes Sharon's story is "incredibly uplifting" and says that her parents would be proud of her.

A Legacy of Love

Sharon's unwavering determination to live a healthier life is a testament to the power of resilience and the importance of honoring loved ones. She plans to spend as much time as possible with her family, creating lasting memories. Her journey has taught her the preciousness of life and the need to pursue happiness every day.
