Early Career
At an early age, Dalian Atkinson was a member of the youth systems of Dimen, AFC Ajax, and Omniworld. In 2008, he made the move from Omniworld to Quick Boys, an amateur club.
Maltese Football
January 2009 marked Atkinson's transfer to Maltese club Hamrun Spartans. He remained there for a brief time before joining Birkirkara during the summer of the same year. In the 2009-2010 season, Atkinson's 15 goals played a crucial role in securing Birkirkara the Maltese Premier League title.
Russian Trial and Scottish Venture
In February 2010, Atkinson traveled to Russia for a trial with Spartak-Nalchik. Although the trial did not result in a contract, Atkinson maintained contact with the club, communicating via email after almost every match. In September 2010, he signed a contract with Scottish club Stirling Albion as a free agent. Despite his stay in Scotland, Atkinson failed to score any goals.
Middle Eastern and Kazakhstani Football
Atkinson joined Al-Salmiya in Kuwait in 2011. Later that year, on June 25th, he made his debut for Kazakhstani Premier League club Atyrau.
