Biography of Sinan Albayrak
Early Life and EducationSinan Albayrak was born on February 27, 1973, in Hanau, Germany to Turkish parents. He has an older brother named Hakan, who is a journalist and politician. Albayrak's family is of Circassian descent, making him a descendant of the tribe described in Mikhail Lermontov's "A Hero of Our Time." He graduated from Istanbul University's State Conservatory and studied acting under the renowned actress Yıldız Kenter.
Acting Career
Albayrak began his acting career in theater before making his screen debut at the age of 21 in the Turkish series "Geçmişin İzler." Throughout his illustrious career, he has portrayed diverse characters, including Tom Waits in "Leyla and Mecnun" and a Russian gangster in the feature film "Döngel Karhanesi." He has played Mustafa in the 2007 detective thriller "Fog and Night" and Kemal, a yacht owner who rescues Hande Erçel's character in "Knock on My Door." In 2023, Albayrak starred in the Turkish-Kazakhstani crime comedy "Mitat."
Personal Life
Albayrak is a passionate animal lover and enjoys playing guitar and saz, a Middle Eastern string instrument. He is also an avid horseback rider and axe-thrower. His personal life has been eventful, with three marriages. In 2019, his third wife, Seda Albayrak, gave birth to their son, Taymin. Albayrak's previous marriages to Başak Daşman and Fünde Enkinoğlu ended in divorce.
Recent Work
On January 22, 2024, the Russian premiere of "Good Bad Doctor" took place on the platform "Смотрим." In the series, Albayrak plays Yalçın Aygün, the chief physician of a municipal hospital. Notably, in "Knock on My Door," actress Neslihan Yeldan, who played the mother of the protagonist Serkan, played by Kerem Bürsin, suffered a severe back injury.
