Early Life and Career

Victoria Vradiy, known affectionately as "Sister Vicky," was born in Lviv, Ukraine. Her musical journey began in 1976 when she joined the vocal ensemble "Arnika" as a soloist. During her high school years, she captivated audiences with her renditions of Ukrainian pop songs.

Jazz-Rock Explorations and Film Collaborations

While studying at Lviv State University, Vradiy became the lead vocalist of Yuri Varum's jazz-rock group "Labyrinth." In 1985, she relocated to Gorky and embarked on collaborations with notable artists. She contributed vocals to Mikhail Boyarsky's album "Lunar Cinema" and the soundtrack of the film "Higher Than the Rainbow," featuring a duet with Boyarsky titled "If You Remember."

The Rise of "Sister Vicky"

In 1989, Vradiy joined forces with the legendary Ukrainian folk-rock band "Bratia Hadiukiny." Her participation in the "Chervona Ruta" festival propelled her to stardom, earning her the coveted title of "Miss Rock-Europe" in 1992.

Album Releases and Film Debut

Vradiy's debut album, "Mama, I'm a Fool," marked her transition into a solo artist. She subsequently released "Playing the Cymbals" and "Lviv Humor." In 1992, she ventured into acting, portraying the lead role in V. Denisenko's film "Mana."

International Recognition

Vradiy's success extended beyond Eastern Europe. She settled in New York City in 1993 and became a resident of Los Angeles. In 2004, she returned to Ukraine for a triumphant visit, reaffirming her status as an iconic figure in Ukrainian rock music.
