Early Career
Piotr Zieliński is a Polish professional footballer who currently plays as a midfielder for Lechia Gdańsk and the Poland national team.
Move to Germany
In January 2011, Zieliński signed a contract with German club FC Köln. However, his time with the "Billy Goats" was marred by a scandal in which he was involved in a drunken incident in a taxi, resulting in a €25,000 fine.
Loan to England
On August 9, 2012, Zieliński was sent on a year-long loan to Wolverhampton Wanderers, a newly relegated English Premier League club. Ironically, he was reunited with Ståle Solbakken, the manager under whom he had played at Köln just a few months prior.
