Early Life and Career

Born in Edinburgh on January 25, 1986, Hosking embarked on her rowing journey at the age of fourteen. Her exceptional skills earned her a spot on the Great Britain women's eight team that competed against France.

Junior and U23 Successes

Hosking's talent shone through at the Junior World Championships, where she secured a silver medal in the women's four in 2003. She returned to the same event in 2004, placing sixth. In 2006, she added to her accolades with a silver in the U23 World Championship single sculls and a bronze in the senior women's four.

Senior Career

Hosking rose to prominence as a lightweight rower in 2009. She triumphed at the GB Rowing Senior Trials in the single sculls and partnered with Hester Goodsell to win gold in the double sculls at the World Cup in Munich. Their consistency earned them another gold in Lucerne, solidifying their place in the team for the 2009 World Championships in Poznan, where they took home bronze.

Olympic Glory

In 2012, Hosking teamed up with Kat Copeland for the women's double sculls at the London Olympics. The duo claimed a thrilling gold medal, edging out the Chinese team by just two seconds. They also competed in the double sculls at the 2012 World Cup, winning silver in Belgrade and finishing fifth and fourth in Lucerne and Munich, respectively.
