Education and Early Career
Born in Moscow, the candidate of psychological sciences graduated with honors from the Faculty of Psychology at Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU) in 2000. He completed his postgraduate studies in psychophysiology in 2003 and defended his Ph.D. dissertation, "Psychophysiological Mechanisms of Visual Image Retention in Working Memory," under the supervision of Professor E.N. Sokolov.
International Research Experience
In 2002, he interned at the University of Helsinki in Finland. Subsequently, he conducted research in Italy at the University of Padua, the Istituto Auxologico Italiano, and the Universita Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in 2007.
Faculty Positions
The candidate has been affiliated with the Faculty of Psychology at MSU since 2000. From 2005 to 2008, he served as a research fellow at the Institute of Psychology of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
Leadership and Honors
Since 2009, he has been the head of the Neurocognitive Research Department at the Institute of Cognitive Research of the Kurchatov Institute. He is a member of several scientific organizations, including the I.P. Pavlov Physiological Society of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Organization for Human Brain Mapping, and the Association for Computing Machinery.
In 2009, he won first place in the "Best Popular Science Article" category of the All-Russian Competition of Popular Science Articles and Documentaries "Science to Society," organized by the Russian Ministry of Education and Science and MSU.
In 2008, he received the I.V. Kurchatov Prize for "research and development in the field of computer science, computing technology, and management." In 2006, he was a laureate of the "Best Candidates and Doctors of the Russian Academy of Sciences" program in the "Best Candidates of the Russian Academy of Sciences" category, organized by the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Fund for Assistance to National Science.
