Early Life and Education

Stefano Domenicali was born in Imola, Italy, in 1965. He received his Diploma di Maturità from the Scientific Lyceum in Imola and later pursued a degree in Economics and Commerce from the University of Bologna.

Career at Ferrari

After graduating, Domenicali began working for Ferrari's administration in 1991. He was soon transferred to the racing team and played a key role in the redevelopment of the Mugello track for Scuderia Ferrari's regular testing.

Progression to Team Management

In 1995, Domenicali became Head of Personnel for Ferrari's sporting department. A year later, he was appointed Team Manager. He was promoted to Sporting Director in 2002.

Team Principal of Scuderia Ferrari

On November 12, 2007, it was announced that Domenicali would succeed Jean Todt as Team Principal of Scuderia Ferrari. Under his leadership, the team experienced a successful period, winning the Constructors' Championship in 2007 and 2008.
