Early Life and Career

Stepan Chernovetskyi, born on October 28, 1978, in Tbilisi, Georgia, is the son of former Kyiv Mayor Leonid Chernovetskyi. In 1996, he commenced his career as a manager in the client relations department at Pravex Bank.

Political Career

In 2006, after his father's election as Mayor of Kyiv, Chernovetskyi became the head of Pravex Bank. That same year, he was elected as a deputy to the Kyiv City Council, representing his father's political bloc.

Political Withdrawal

In December 2009, Chernovetskyi voluntarily resigned from his deputy position, stating that he did not identify as a politician.

Business Endeavors

Currently, Chernovetskyi is involved in various business ventures. However, he has refuted rumors that he purchased FC Arsenal or owns boxing clubs in Kyiv.

Personal Life

Chernovetskyi met his wife, Zhanna, in an elevator while she was working as an economist at Pravex Bank. They married six months later and have one child. The couple currently resides in Koncha-Zaspa, a suburb of Kyiv. They plan to have more children in the future.

Chernovetskyi has no overseas real estate holdings at present. However, he has expressed interest in investing in the United States or England.

Chernovetskyi has denied rumors surrounding the sale of Pravex Bank, alleging that the bank was sold at a fair price and that the transaction was transparent. He confirmed that the bank is now owned by Intesa Sanpaolo, one of the world's largest banking groups.
