Early Life and Education

Born on March 1, 1962, in Monaco, Stéphane Valeri embarked on his educational journey at Lycée Albert Ier de Monaco. He later attended Lycée Masséna in Nice, graduating in 1986 from the European Business School.

Entry into Politics

Valeri's political career began in 1988 when he was elected to the National Council of Monaco, becoming its youngest member. In 1993, he was reelected and appointed to head the Housing Commission.

Founding l'Union pour la Principauté

In 2001, Valeri established and led the Union pour la Principauté (Union for the Principality) party. For the 2003 elections, the party formed an alliance with the National Union for the Future of Monaco and the Union for the Development of Monegasque Society, collectively known as the Union pour Monaco (Union for Monaco). This alliance secured a resounding victory, occupying 21 out of 24 seats in parliament. The alliance repeated this triumph in the 2008 elections.

Presidency of the National Council

From 2003 to 2010, Valeri served as President of the National Council of Monaco. In 2018, his list once again dominated the elections, winning 21 out of 24 seats in the National Council.
