Biography of Steve Treweeks
Steve Treweeks, a British man, has faced and defeated cancer three times in his life. Despite knowing his diagnosis, Steve has fought against the disease, combating it for weeks, months, and even years. He cherishes every day and values every minute, living his life to the fullest. At 48 years old, Steve is a father of three children.

Battling against a Rare Form of Cancer
Steve Treweeks has been diagnosed with pseudomyxoma peritonei (PMP), a rare form of cancer in the abdominal cavity. This type of cancer is found in only two people per million. When Steve received this diagnosis, it was a shock to him, and he was plagued with questions of "Why me?" and "What did I do to deserve this?" However, he quickly realized that he had no time to feel sorry for himself. His only option was to fight against the formidable disease.

The Will to Survive
Steve, a dedicated father, does not let his condition hinder his ability to enjoy life. Despite having his belly button removed due to surgery, earning him the nickname "Bumper" from his wife, he remains resilient. His massive scar, stretching from his chest to his groin, catches the attention of others when he visits the beach. However, Steve is undeterred by the stares, as his goal is simply to survive.

The First Diagnosis and Recurrences
In 2007, just a day before his 41st birthday, Steve received his initial diagnosis. He promptly underwent surgery and followed all medical advice, successfully overcoming the low chances of survival. However, a year and a half later, Steve faced another encounter with cancer. This time, it affected his lungs. Nonetheless, Steve emerged victorious once again, defeating the disease through a combination of surgery and chemotherapy.

Running for a Cause
Despite his daunting diagnoses, Steve never ceased his passion for running. In fact, he believes that running has played a significant role in his survival. Over the past seven years, Steve has completed seven marathons, two half-marathons, ten 10-kilometer races, and several 5-kilometer races. He does this to raise funds for cancer research and to support The Christie Hospital, a medical institution he truly admires.
A Beacon of Hope
Steve Treweeks's story of resilience and perseverance has been widely covered in British media. His battle against cancer serves as an inspiration to all who have faced or are currently fighting against this dreadful disease. People draw strength from knowing that Steve is out there, running his marathons, spending time with his children, and even attending medical appointments. He has brought comfort and encouragement to countless individuals and continues to find strength in his love for running, his three children, and his wife.
