Early Life and Education
Summer Bishil was born on July 17, 1988, in Pasadena, California, to an American mother and a Saudi Arabian father of Indian descent. At the age of three, Bishil's family relocated to Saudi Arabia and later to Bahrain. After 11 years abroad, they returned to California. Bishil has an older brother and sister.
Television Career
Bishil made her television debut in a minor role in the soap opera "Days of Our Lives" in 2005. Her breakthrough came in 2009 when she starred as Jazira in the critically acclaimed independent film "Towelhead," for which she received an Independent Spirit Award nomination for Best Female Lead.
Film and Television Success
In 2013, Bishil landed a lead role in the television series "Lucky 7." She has since gained further recognition for her role as Margo Hanson in the Syfy series "The Magicians," which she has been starring in since 2015.
