Biography of Svetlana Borovskaya

Svetlana Borovskaya is a Belarusian actress and television presenter. She gained recognition for her role as the wife of a paratrooper officer in the romantic action film "Deserter" in 1997. Interestingly, her real-life husband Anatoliy Kotenov played the role of her on-screen husband.

Early Life and Career

Svetlana Borovskaya first crossed paths with Anatoliy Kotenov while studying at the theater institute. At that time, he had already gained fame for his leading role in the television series "Secret Fairway" in 1986. Their introduction happened in an unexpected manner. Svetlana's friend, Zhena, who was infatuated with Kotenov, convinced her to visit him. It is worth noting that Borovskaya was indifferent to the character of "Secret Fairway" as she never liked what everyone else liked. However, fate had a different plan that evening as Anatoliy was spending time with another girl. While it was a blow to Zhena, Svetlana fearlessly went ahead and approached her suitor. Kotenov later admitted that he noticed the beautiful girl who came to see him. He jokingly says, "She exuded a provincial charm." However, at the time, he was not in the mood for jokes. Every time he encountered Svetlana on the street, he persistently invited her to his place. But Svetlana always brushed it off. However, on the third occasion, she agreed to have a cup of tea with him.

Personal Life

Svetlana Borovskaya's mother was horrified when she learned that her daughter was getting married. She had always dreamed that her daughter would marry a French diplomat. Svetlana and Anatoliy have been together for nearly 15 years, and they have two sons.
