Early Life and Education

Belinda Vointseva was born in Ukraine and began her formal vocal training in 1943 under the tutelage of N. L. Chemezov. She pursued her higher education at the Kharkiv Conservatory, graduating in 1949 under the guidance of Professor M. I. Mikhailov.

Opera Career

Kharkiv Opera Studio (1946-1948)

Vointseva made her professional debut as a soloist with the Kharkiv Opera Studio from 1946 to 1948.

Kharkiv Academic Opera and Ballet Theater (1948-1972)

From 1948 to 1972, Vointseva rose to the rank of soloist at the prestigious Kharkiv Academic Opera and Ballet Theater named after N. V. Lysenko.

Teaching Career

Kharkiv Institute of Arts (1969-1990)

In 1969, Vointseva embarked on a distinguished teaching career at the Kharkiv Institute of Arts named after I. P. Kotlyarevsky. She served as an associate professor from 1976 to 1984 and as vice rector for academic affairs from 1976 to 1984. In 1990, she was promoted to the rank of professor.

Legacy and Students

Throughout her tenure, Vointseva nurtured the talents of 23 graduates in the field of solo singing. Notable students under her mentorship include V. Lomakin, A. Romanovskaya, L. Sukhanova, and V. Bednyak.

Honors and Recognition

In 1956, Vointseva was conferred the title of Honored Artist of the Ukrainian SSR.
