Early Life and Inspiration

Tatiana Alexandrovna was born in Kazan, Russia, but spent her childhood in Moscow. Her father was a logging engineer who often traveled for work, while her mother was a doctor who worked late nights, leaving Tatiana and her older sister Natasha to manage the household.

During the war, Tatiana worked as a nursery school teacher in evacuation, where she first began to create fairy tales and stories.

The Art and Writing of Tatiana Alexandrovna

After graduating high school, Tatiana entered the Institute of Cinematography. After completing her studies, she worked at a cartoon studio, drawing various illustrations while continuing to write stories.

In 1977, her first book featuring the beloved character Kuzya the brownie was published. The book, "Kuzya the Brownie," was prefaced and postfaced by Tatiana's friend, writer Valentin Berestov.

The Legacy of Tatiana Alexandrovna

Following the release of "Kuzya the Brownie," Tatiana published "The Tales of the Wise Professor," a collection of stories about a scatterbrained yet intelligent hedgehog.

After Tatiana's untimely passing in 1983, the first animated film based on Kuzya, "A House for Kuzya," was released. Tatiana's legacy as a beloved children's writer and artist continues to this day.
