Chain Hultgren: The Cosmic Cowboy

Extreme Perform and Daredevil

Chain Hultgren, better known by his stage name "Cosmic Cowboy," is a renowned Australian daredevil, street performer, and stuntman. He has gained fame for his gravity-defying stunts, such as juggling a sickle, machete, and flaming torch while blindfolded and riding a 10-foot unicycle.

'Mutant Barnyard' and Traveling Shows

Hultgren's performance repertoire extends beyond his own stunts. He also tours with his troupe, "Mutant Barnyard," a carnival-esque show that showcases an eclectic collection of oddities and artifacts related to historical deformities. From two-headed ducks and cows to ancient elongated Peruvian skulls, the show features a macabre array of curiosities.

World Records and Accolades

Hultgren has shattered numerous world records throughout his career. He is a two-time winner of the Street Performance World Championship and has broken the world record for sword swallowing six times. Notably, he holds the official record for swallowing 18 swords, but unofficially consumed 27 at an Irish street festival.

Hultgren's records are not limited to sword swallowing. He has also set the record for the heaviest weight lifted using fishing hooks inserted into his eye sockets, managing to pull 900 pounds.

Unique Body Modifications

Hultgren's appearance is as eccentric as his stunts. He has an extensive collection of tattoos and body modifications, including at least 19 additional piercings (nipples, lower lip, navel, ear tunnels). Furthermore, he has a subdermal implant in his chest, acquired at a tattoo festival from a renowned body modification artist.

Hultgren's anatomy also plays a role in his performances. A congenital medical condition has lowered the placement of his stomach, making sword swallowing less arduous.

Legal Controversy

In August 2011, Hultgren was arrested in New York City while performing on the streets. He was accused of brandishing a weapon in public, but formal charges were never filed, although his props were confiscated.
