Early Life and Acting DebutThomas Randall Mann Jr. was born in Portland, Oregon, on September 27, 1991. His father worked in construction, and his mother was a nurse. His early years were spent in Texas, where he moved with his family to Dallas at the age of two.
As a child, Mann excelled in sports, playing hockey and swimming. It was in the sixth grade, however, that he stumbled into acting. He was cast as the Jester in a production of "Sleeping Beauty" due to his ability to walk on his hands and do backflips. The experience ignited a passion in him, and he resolved to pursue acting as a career.
Breaking into Hollywood
At seventeen, Mann left for Los Angeles to pursue his acting dreams. His initial attempts at landing roles were met with failure, as he lacked formal training.
