Biography of Tim Gunn
Tim Gunn, an American television host and fashion consultant, is best known for his role in the show "Project Runway". He was born on July 29, 1953, and grew up in Washington, D.C. in the family of FBI agent George William Gunn. He graduated from a college of arts and design, majoring in sculpture. Gunn is openly gay.
Career at Parsons and Liz Claiborne, Inc.
Since 1982, Gunn has worked at the Parsons School of Design. From 1989 to 2000, he held the position of Dean, and later became the head of the institution. In 2007, Gunn transitioned to the role of Creative Director at Liz Claiborne, Inc.
Hosting "Project Runway" and "Tim Gunn's Guide to Style"
Since 2004, Tim Gunn has been co-hosting "Project Runway" alongside Heidi Klum, and serving as a mentor to the show's contestants. In 2007, he launched his own program called "Tim Gunn's Guide to Style".
