Early Life and Career
Tim Lincecum was born on June 15, 1984, in Bellevue, Washington. He developed a passion for baseball at a young age and joined his high school's baseball team as a pitcher. Throughout his high school career, Lincecum's skills continued to flourish, and he led Liberty Senior High School to a state championship while earning Player of the Year honors.
College and Draft
After graduating from high school, Lincecum enrolled at the University of Washington, where he immediately became a standout pitcher. In 2006, he earned the Golden Spikes Award, given annually to the best college baseball player. Although selected in the first round of the MLB draft by the Chicago Cubs, Lincecum opted to stay at the university. Two years later, he was drafted again in the first round, this time by the San Francisco Giants, becoming the first University of Washington player to be selected in the first round of the MLB draft.

Debut and Early YearsLincecum debuted for the Giants in 2007 and gained attention for his exceptional pitching abilities, including a 97.6 mph fastball. However, it was not until the 2010 World Series against the Texas Rangers that Lincecum truly emerged as a star.
