Early Life and Collegiate Career

American Professional Basketball

Born and raised in the United States, Anthony McClain is a professional basketball player who specializes in the point guard position. He began his basketball career at Coppin State University, where he showcased his skills and developed his game.

Overseas Journey

Unselected in the NBA Draft

Despite his impressive collegiate performances, McClain went undrafted in the 2009 NBA Draft. Undeterred, he embarked on an international journey that took him to Australia, where he joined the Wollongong Hawks. In 2010, he signed with the Belarusian club Minsk-2006, where he averaged 14.4 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 3.1 assists in 10 games.

Russian and European Stint

Triumph of Lyubertsy

From 2011 to 2013, McClain played for Triumph of Lyubertsy in Russia. He made a significant impact, showcasing his court vision and distributing the ball effectively.

UNICS Kazan and German Odyssey

A Brief Stay in Tatarstan

In July 2013, McClain signed a one-year contract with UNICS Kazan in Russia. However, his tenure with the club was short-lived.

Oldenburg and Hapoel Jerusalem

On August 1, 2014, he signed with German club Oldenburg. After a brief stint, he left the team on October 27 and moved to Hapoel Jerusalem in Israel, where he helped the team secure the Israeli Championship title in the 2014/2015 season.

International Experiences

Tunisian Triumph

In October 2019, McClain joined Tunisian club ES Monastir ahead of the Arab Club Championship. He contributed to the team's success as they emerged as champions of Tunisia in the 2019/2020 season.

Return to Belarus and Cypriot Adventure

Borisfen Mogilev

In January 2021, McClain returned to Belarus and signed with Borisfen Mogilev. He played for the club for a period before moving on.

APOP Paphos

In the 2021/2022 season, McClain joined Cypriot club APOP Paphos. However, he later returned to Borisfen Mogilev in February 2022.
