The Ramones

In 1970, eighteen-year-old Tommy participated in promoting Jimmy Hendrix's "Band of Gypsys." In the mid-70s, a band called "The Ramones" was formed, and all the members took on the stage name Ramone. Johnny Ramone played the guitar, Dee Dee Ramone played the bass, and Joey Ramone played the drums. Initially, Tommy was meant to be the band's manager, but when Joey took up the role of vocalist, Tommy had to take over the drum set. From 1974 to 1978, Tommy Ramone played in "The Ramones" and they released several albums, including "Ramones," "Leave Home," and "Rocket to Russia."
