Formation of TIK
The Ukrainian music group, TIK, was formed on June 2, 2005, in Vinnytsia, Ukraine. It was founded by Viktor Broniuk, a history student at Vinnytsia State Pedagogical University, and Denis Repei, a student at a music-pedagogical school. They chose the name TIK, which stands for "Sobriety and Culture," for their musical collective.
Expanding the Group
In 2003, Konstantin Terepa and Alexander Filinkov joined the group as guitarists. In the spring of 2005, a young producer named Oleg Zbarashchuk attended one of the band's rehearsals and helped them participate in their first major concert. On June 2, 2005, the group TIK made their debut on stage during the "Talita Kum" all-Ukrainian tour in Vinnytsia, organized by Oleg Zbarashchuk. This day is considered the official founding day of the band.
New Member and Progress
In the fall of 2005, Yuri Marchinyuk joined the group as a keyboardist and saxophonist. The band had their first photoshoot and made their first demo recording. They also attracted the attention of sound engineer Vitaliy Telezin, known for his work with bands like "Okean Elzy," "VV," and "Druha Rika." During this time, Konstantin Terepa left the group, and he was replaced by Alexander Pinchuk and later by Sergey Oleynik.
New Lineup and Album Release
In 2006, Denis Repei and Yuri Marchinyuk left the band, but by May 2006, a new lineup was formed. Sergey Fedchishin joined as a bass guitarist, Evgeniy Zykov as a keyboardist, and Yan Nikitchuk as a trumpeter. On May 27, 2007, TIK presented their album "LiteraDura," which included 11 songs and two bonus videos.
