Early Life and Youth Career
Anthony Martial was born on December 5, 1995, in Massy, France, to parents from the French island of Martinique. Growing up with two older brothers, Martial began his football journey in 2001 with CO Les Ulis, a club known for nurturing young talent like Thierry Henry and Patrice Evra.
Olympique Lyon
In 2009, at the age of 14, Martial caught the attention of Olympique Lyon scouts. He joined Lyon's youth academy and showcased his impressive goal-scoring abilities, netting 32 goals in 21 matches for the under-17 team. Martial made his professional debut on December 6, 2012, as a substitute against Hapoel Kiryat Shmona in the Europa League.
AS Monaco
On June 30, 2013, Martial secured a €5 million transfer to AS Monaco. He made his debut against Nantes in November and quickly established himself as a key player. On January 27, 2014, he extended his contract with Monaco until 2018.
Breakout Season at Monaco
