Early Life and Education

Ti Treadway was born on February 11, 1967, in Trenton, New Jersey. He was the youngest of six children, with a large extended family that included five brothers (two of whom were twins). After graduating high school, Treadway pursued his passion for football and attended several colleges before earning a bachelor's degree in accounting.

Accounting and Bodybuilding

Treadway initially worked as an accountant and computer systems engineer for the New Jersey legislature. While maintaining his day job, he also participated in bodybuilding competitions, winning the title of 'Mr. Natural Pennsylvania.' Treadway's physique and fitness would later become a prominent feature on his talk show segments, "Ti's Workouts."

Transition to Entertainment

Dissatisfied with his accounting career, Treadway began modeling for magazines like GQ and appearing in theater productions and commercials. His breakthrough role came in May 2000 when he was cast as Dr. Colin MacIver in the ABC soap opera "One Life to Live." His character was killed off a year later, but Treadway returned to the show as Colin's twin brother, Troy, who also met a tragic end.

Co-hosting "Soap Talk"

In June 2002, Treadway took on dual roles as both a soap star and a talk show host. He joined soap opera veteran Lisa Rinna as co-host of "Soap Talk," a show focusing on the behind-the-scenes world of soap operas. The show and its hosts were nominated for an Emmy Award but were ultimately defeated by Wayne Brady.

"American Idol Extra" and "Merv Griffin's Crosswords"

In March 2006, Treadway began hosting "American Idol Extra," a talk show that featured interviews with "American Idol" contestants, producers, and other industry guests. On April 30, 2007, Treadway was announced as the host of the Merv Griffin-created game show "Merv Griffin's Crosswords."

Television Appearances

In addition to his soap opera and talk show work, Treadway has made guest appearances on numerous television shows, including "Just Shoot Me," "Ally McBeal," "NCIS," and "Cold Case." He also starred in the independent films "...Or Forever Hold Your Peace," "I/O Error," and "Soulkeeper."

Personal Life

Treadway married his long-time girlfriend, Monica, in 2003. They have two children, daughter Samantha Rain and son Ryder. He is an avid supporter of the Susan G. Komen Foundation and works to raise awareness about breast cancer research.
