Early Life and Youth Career

Ulrich Bayersschmidt, a German footballer, was born and raised in Germany. As a young player, he honed his skills at Bayern Munich II, the reserve team of the renowned German club Bayern Munich.

Bayern Munich

In October 1986, Bayersschmidt made his debut for the Bayern Munich first team in the European Champion Clubs' Cup against Dutch club PSV Eindhoven. That season, Bayern reached the final but ultimately lost to FC Porto. Bayersschmidt remained on the bench throughout the historic match.

Despite the missed opportunity, Bayern Munich emerged victorious in the national championship. However, Bayersschmidt featured in only one match, replacing Michael Rummenigge against Werder Bremen. The following season, he scored his debut Bundesliga goal against Bayer 04 Leverkusen.

Loan to Nuremberg and Transfer to Hertha

In the 1988/89 season, Bayersschmidt made a solitary appearance in the UEFA Cup against Polish club Legia Warsaw. During the winter break, he was loaned to 1. FC Nuremberg. Over two years with Nuremberg, he amassed 41 appearances.

In the summer of 1991, Bayersschmidt signed a contract with Hertha BSC, then playing in the German second division. He spent three seasons with Hertha, notching up over 80 appearances.

Later Career

In 1994, Bayersschmidt joined Tennis Borussia Berlin, where he played for two more years before retiring from professional football.
