Early Years, Childhood, and Family

Vahide Gördüm (née Perçin) was born on June 13, 1965, in the major Turkish city of Izmir. Despite being born in Turkey, all of her ancestors were originally from Greece. Her family relocated to Izmir in the early 20th century and have since lived in the Turkish Republic. Her father worked as a truck driver for most of his life, while her mother followed Eastern traditions, spending much of her time at home, taking care of household chores. Leaving the set, the actress took some time off and decided to seek treatment in the hospital. During her battle with the disease, she was supported by her family and loved ones. In 1994, Altan and Vahide welcomed their daughter Alezi. For a long time, their family was exemplary and seemed perfectly happy. However, in 2013, the couple unexpectedly announced their divorce. After being together for 24 years, they decided to part ways but promised to remain friends.
