Early Life and Career
Valery Fedorovich Razumovsky was born on December 18, 1923. He graduated from the Faculty of Journalism at Moscow State University and worked as a literary staff member at the newspaper "Moskovsky Komsomolets" from 1951 to 1958.
Working in the Media
From 1958 to 1971, Razumovsky worked at the newspaper "Komsomolskaya Pravda," holding various positions including literary staff member, deputy editor, department editor, and deputy chief editor. Subsequently, from 1971 to 1984, he worked at the newspaper "Sovetskaya Rossiya" as both deputy and first deputy chief editor.
Political Appointments
Razumovsky was appointed First Deputy Chairman of the State Committee of the USSR for Publishing, Printing, and Book Trade from 1984 to 1986. In 1986, he became the chief editor of "Sovetskaya Rossiya."
Electoral Participation
Razumovsky held various electoral positions throughout his career. He was a member of the Supreme Council of the RSFSR and a People's Deputy of the Russian Federation from 1990 to 1993. In the State Duma, he was a member of the Committee on Information Policy.
Razumovsky was elected to the State Duma on the federal list of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF). He held prominent positions on the candidate list, ranking higher than many CPRF leaders.
Leadership Roles
In addition to his political roles, Razumovsky served as Chairman of the Board of the Russian Foundation for Mercy and Health from 1989 to 1991. He also held leadership positions within the CPRF, including membership in the Central Committee and the Coordinating Council of the All-Russian Public Movement "Russian Popular-Patriotic Union."
