Early Life and UpbringingValentina Sharykina, a Soviet and Russian theater and film actress, was born in Kiev, Ukraine. She grew up in a theatrical environment as her mother was an operetta artist. Although her father opposed this lifestyle, it eventually led to their separation. Valentina was raised in a religious family, with her mother and grandmother being Polish by nationality and Catholic by faith. However, due to the lack of a functioning Catholic church in Kiev at that time, her grandmother baptized and raised her in the Orthodox faith.
